Legendary satanic death metallers Deicide have cancelled their upcoming Australian tour

Legendary satanic death metallers Deicide (or as Necro-tron likes to call them, Strawberry Cupcake and the Chucklefucks) have announced the cancellation of their scheduled Australian/New Zealand tour in October due to recording commitments.

We are currently working on the new album and will be recording during the time frame of said tour… On behalf of the band and myself, we are sorry for any inconvenience and will reschedule the tour for another time frame as soon as we can.

So there you have it, Aussie and Kiwi death metal fans, no Deicide for you.  Looks like Strawberry Shortcake and the Chucklefucks will be releasing their Century Media debut in early 2010.  I haven’t listened to their most recent stuff, but I can’t deny that the self-titled album is one of the all-time best death metal releases.  In fact, I’m going to listen to it again right now.

The bowling shirt and the elevator setting make Benton look so evil.

hahaha… my thoughts exactly. Nothing says “I hate god!” quite like wearing a bowling shirt in an elevator.

Didn’t they release an album last month? They should tour, then write some good songs, then record. It is like Deicide and Obituary are having a contest to see who can release the most albums in a decade.

ever since Glen kicked out the brothers, he seems like a waaay more down to earth and kooky dude.. first couple times I saw them live years ago he always seemed like a dick.. but last time I caught them he was a genuinely hilarious and seemingly nice guy. It’s clear he has kinda done being this evil guy he portrayed for so many years. Even was joking about moving back to Buffalo, haha..

I dig the first album they did with Ralph and Jack a lot.. definitely best thing since serpents anyway. THe newest one I can’t really get into though.. oh well.
