Texas old school death doomsters Divine Eve have reformed and are working on new material
Blabbermouth reports that old school death doomsters Divine Eve have reformed and are working on new material.

After 13 years of silence, Texas old-school death metal act DIVINE EVE has returned. The band entered Kearlight Recording Studios in October with engineer Scott Cooksey to begin recording a new EP. The effort will consist of two new songs and two previously unrecorded (by DIVINE EVE) tracks that originally appeared on the CRIMSON RELIC Purgatory’s Reign album. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Whispers of Fire", "Ravages of Heathen Men" and "Vindication".

DIVINE EVE’s current lineup:

Matt Killen (INFERNAL OAK, RAPE PILLAGE AND BURN) - Drums
Michael A. Sleavin (INFERNAL OAK, RAPE PILLAGE AND BURN) - Guitar, Vocals
Xan Hammack - Guitar, Vocals

Bassist Tyson Lueck is no longer involved with the group but has reportedly given his blessings to the rest of the band to continue without him. Xan Hammack is handling the bass duties in the studio and a suitable substitute for live performances will be announced soon.
The material they play is one of my favorite styles of metal: old school death doom. The material they recorded “back in the day” is fucking killer and reminds me heavily of Winter mixed with Celtic Frost. Great shit. Check out the samples on their MySpace page.

Is Crimson Relic’s - Purgatory’s Reign album as good as the old Divine Eve material or is it better.
