Hooded Menace Sign With Profound Lore Records

Hooded Menace sign with Profound Lore Records
Hooded Menace have signed will have their next full length offering released on Profound Lore Records;
Finland’s masters of horror-inspired dirgy down-tuned death doom Hooded Menace have signed with Profound Lore Records. Mastermind Lasse Pyykko is currently putting the finishing touches (while conjuring inspiration from the most cult of horror films) on the material for the follow-up to the masterful Fulfill The Curse album, and rest assured, the new CD will be “heavier and more all-encompassing,” according to a press release. Look for Lasse and co. to enter the studio sometime this fall and if all goes according to plan, the new Hooded Menace opus will arrive in early 2010.
Hooded Menace was formed in June 2007 when three doom/death-loving freaks got together to jam some Candlemass cover songs but using old-school, death metal-style vocals instead. They were having so much fun that they decided to start writing their own material, very much influenced by the first Cathedral album, Winter and Asphyx. They wanted to do play really doom-laden death metal that combined crushing and somber riffs with just a slight hint of melody that comes from their love for the early Candlemass albums from the ’80s.
Fulfill The Curse was a killer debut and I’m definitely looking forward to hearing more material from these guys.

I’d like to hear Nocera’s opinion on another band jumping ship.
He signs bands to one album deals, what they do after that is up to them.
I know, but from what I can make out, he’s pretty disgruntled by Ghoul and Coffins and possibly others leaving. It must be a bit annoying to help a band find it’s feet, only to have them move on to “bigger and better” things as soon as possible.
what did he do to help a band “find its feet?”
billy’s a blow hole
I’m not surpised they left being that Billy shit on his buddies over some fat cow from Kentucky. Now him and Slasher Lars will be the secret members of every band that comes out on the label.
Some fat cow from Kentucky? Huh? Does this involve his MySpace profile disappearing for a second time?
Who cares if this release won’t be on Razorback its still gonna kick ass either way.
