Suffocation Sign With… Nuclear Blast Records?

According to a news story on Blabbermouth, Suffocation have signed with Nuclear Blast Records;

New York death metal legends SUFFOCATION have reportedly inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records for the release of their new album, entitled Blood Oath. An early 2009 release is expected.
That’s kind of a weird move considering a few months ago the band was talking about moving on to a bigger label that would get them more exposure. I don’t think Nuclear Blast Records is the label to take them to that next level, but if they offered them a ridiculous amount of money like they did with Nile then they’d be pretty dumb not to take it. Is Nile even still around? I’ve barely heard anything about that stupid band since they left Relapse.

    Yea they’re still playing. They released a new album at the end of July last year called Ithyphallic.

    Nile’s “Boner” album came out in ‘07, so they probably have a year or two to go…
