The Fallen One Of Flames is a re-mastered re-issue of Black Crucifixion’s 1992 demo recording of the same name. Black Crucifixion at the time consisted of Fornicator on vocals, Blacksoul on guitar and Beherit drummer Sodomatic Slaughter and bassist Wennstrom with help from Beherit front man Holocausto Vengeance.
Having never heard of Black Crucifixion before this mCD in the mail and knowing full well that Beherit are pretty awful I think it’s safe for me to assume this disc is probably pretty shit-poor. I cannot, however, say for certain whether Black Crucifixion’s The Fallen One Of Flames is as bad as I think because the compact disc chose to take its own life somewhere between Paragon Records headquarters and my PO Box.
I’m not entirely sure why a compact disc would split itself in half. Sure, some people may say it was caused by a careless mail carrier who decided to run over it with his truck, but the break is so clean and perfect that no man could split it so easily leaving me to come to the only logical conclusion; this disc is so terrible the plastic rejected it and all that was on it and no longer had any desire to continue existing and split itself perfectly in half.
My only problem with this was that there was no suicide note, I’ll never know the true reason why the compact disc didn’t want to continue on but I can only assume it probably had something to do with not wanting to be associated with grown men wearing make-up and leather trying to look, act and sound grim and evil while looking like Doctor Frank-N-Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Sure, Paragon could probably send me another copy of this album, and sure, it could potentially stay in one piece, but even if they did, chances are I’d probably just ignore it anyway. Who seriously gives a shit about a 13 year old demo by members of a horrible band like Beherit anyway?
