FFFFUUUUHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRBBBUURRRRRHHHHGGGUUUHHHRRRRR!!!!

God fucking damn! I just finished listening to the debut full length by San Diego brutal death metallers Cephalotripsy and I can honestly say I think my IQ just dropped by half. The music is so ridiculously crushing that it caused me to fart out of my ear. I didn’t even think that was possible! Fuck!

If you’ve never heard Cephalotripsy the best way to describe the material contained on Uterovaginal Insertion Of Extirpated Anomalies would be to smash the members of Devourment in the head with a baseball bat, causing all of their motor skills to be slowed by half and throw them in a recording studio. Everything that made Devourment‘s Molesting The Decapitated one of the most highly regarded brutal death metal efforts ever recorded are here on Uterovaginal Insertion Of Extirpated Anomalies; catchy riffs, pummeling drum beats, thick meaty production and vomiting-in-reverse vocals. The only major difference between the two bands is the tempo, while Devourment go for high-mid paced brutality, Cephalotripsy take the doom route and play everything in slow motion.

While there’s nothing new or original on this effort in any manner, it’s still insanely infectious. Listen to it once and you’ll want to listen to it again, and again, and again. I can honestly say the last time I was this addicted to a brutal death metal release was the first time I heard Molesting The Decapitated. Scarily enough, this album may even be better. The vocals of Angel Ochoa put those of all past and present Devourment vocalists to shame.

If you’re a fan of brutal death metal, you need to get this album as it will cause your brain to melt into a puddle of pink goo leaving you attempting to gurgle along with the vocals, leaving you likely hunched over trying not to throw up in your mouth. The vocalist and drummer are from another San Diego-based brutal death metal act named Condemned, I don’t know if they’re any good, but if they’re even half as entertaining as Cephalotripsy I’ll be happy, needless to say I’m definitely going to track down their full length album, also out on Amputated Vein Records, and find out!

This Album Is...
Excellent
Highly Recommended! Buy This!
