No Escape Records is quickly becoming my favorite grind label. With 34 releases under their belt there’s only been two albums that haven’t won me over, everything else has been awesome. The latest release to blow me away is the debut offering from Australia’s Die Pigeon Die.

Ripped From V To A contains 11 tracks of gruesome goregrind in the vein of Hymen Holocaust, Last Days of Humanity, Cock and Ball Torture, Neuro-Visceral Exhumation and The Day Everything Became Nothing. The minute you toss this album in the stereo you know it’s a No Escape Records release with the pitch shifted gurgling vocals, catchy riffs, blasts and horror movie audio samples.

The production is fucking disgusting with a sharp shredding guitar tone, drums that sound like someone is hacking a garbage can with an axe and the pitch shifting on the vocals make every grunt and gurgle sound like a toilet is backing up.

Despite the band’s lack of originality or musical complexity the sheer ridiculous brutality of this effort is enough to make any horror hound salivate. The nicest surprise on this album is a true rarity in goregrind; solos! It’s weird how I never even thought about using solos on a goregrind effort but it works remarkably well and it’s something I definitely hope Die Pigeon Die, and other goregrind acts, use again in the future!

If you’re a fan of No Escape Records goregrind releases, there’s no doubt you’re gonna love this and be running around draped in ground beef and snarling along to the inhuman vocals. If you hate goregrind, unfortunately there is no cure for being a gay retard, you should probably just go run in front of a bus. BLAAAARRRRRRRR!!!
