A lot of people thought 2000’s Forensick would be the last we’d hear of Mexico’s Disgorge. The band members were all splitting off and working on various other projects, and Forensick received a lot of bad press due to the really raw production, and a lot of people figured they’d just give it up, and I’m sure many people wished they just go away for good. Thankfully for their fans, myself included, the band didn’t give a fuck what the critics had to say and were adamant that they would move on. In 2001 came their split CD with German porngrinders Cock And Ball Torture, which showed a more polished, more focused, more deadly Disgorge. 2003’s Necrholocaust is basically a continuation of this new approach. The raw production of Forensick and Chronic Corpora Infest has been replaced with a much clearer sound, with every note much easier to bear. The song titles have also been shortened, gone are the Carcass-like multi-syllabel medical terms, replaced with much simpler titles. Don’t get confused, this is still the same sick, grotesque, evil blood and vomit spewing beast we’ve all come to know and love, only better, in every single aspect. This is not music for the weak of stomach; this is a full-on gore massacre. The vocals are unreal, Antimo’s shrieks are clearer than ever and his subhuman gurgles will send goose bumps up and down your body. I don’t think it’s possible to listen to this album without becoming fully enveloped by it, you’ll find yourself gurgling at random and throwing yourself violently across the room like a demon possessed. This album is an instant pump-up, 2 minutes in and you’ll be ready to gut a hobo and hang him with his own entrails while gnawing on his lifeless eyes. Fuck skillful riffing! Fuck technicality! Fuck trying to play music for the masses! If you aren’t into goregrind, especially the most inhuman of the inhuman, this is definitely not for you. Necrholocaust and everything by Disgorge is made by the sick and twisted for the sick and twisted. Necrholocaust eats up Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Morbid Angel and Nile for breakfast and discards of them as the bloody piles of stool they truly are. If you haven’t heard Disgorge, no description I could possibly write could prepare you for the decimation your eardrums will endure. They even make Last Days Of Humanity sound like fairies in comparison. UN-FUCKING-REAL!
