The latest full length offering by Oklahoma’s Divine Pustulence can be described with one single word; BRUTAL! It can also be described with other words like; shitty, pointless and unoriginal.

Tortured, Raped And Sacrificed To Satan is 34 minutes of generic brutal death metal spread over 14 nauseatingly boring tracks. The band has two “vokillists” in the form of drummer Mike “Necrolagnia” Stinski and guitarist Chris “Putrid” Poplin and rounded out by bassist Sarah “Luna C.” Stinski… *rubs his temples and lets out a deep sigh* I’m going to say this only once, and I hope all of the other stupid fucking bands who do this are paying attention because I’m not going to repeat myself; anyone who refers to vocals as “vokills” needs to be stripped naked, tied to a bumper and dragged to their death. It’s not funny. It’s not cool. It’s just stupid and you need to fucking stop.

Also, enough with the stupid nicknames. Mine was given to me in high school, it was stupid then and it’s still stupid now, but people keep calling me Teufel so I’m stuck with it. At least Teufel (German for Satan) sounds kinda cool. “Necroanalingus” and “Lunar Cock” and “Fuckhead” are not cool nicknames. Stop it! Just stop it!

One last thing… Divine Pustulence? Do you even know what your name means? Divine is an adjective which is something relating to, or proceeding directly from God or a god. A pustule is, essentially, a pus-filled blister. Pustulence is not a word, it’s just gibberish. At best Divine Pustulence would be the blister of God. Does that sound like a bad ass name to you or does that sound fucking retarded? If there is a God he will smite you by punching you in the face for dropping out of grade 8 to start a brutal death metal band.

The material this stupid fucking band recorded can best be described as two guys burping non-stop while playing simplistic generic brutal death metal. Badly. Every song has the same structure; stupid overused intro from a movie, or interview or TV show related to serial killers followed by an endless burp and boring riffs with shitty attempts at blast beats. It just goes on. And on. And on.

Every brutal death metal cliché you can think of is on Tortured, Raped And Sacrificed To Satan. First there’s the dumb band name, the stupid nicknames, the intros which have been used thousands of times before by hundreds of other bands, they’ve also got the stupid album title, stupid song titles with lyrics based around the “work” of serial killers like "Reeking Adipocerous Corpses Of Murdered Boys Buried In Lime" and "The Columbine Massacre". They’ve even got the typical illegible logo and shitty album cover art by Jonzig.

There’s absolutely nothing of value on this release. Simply put; Tortured, Raped And Sacrificed To Satan fucking sucks and is a complete waste of time. My only hope is that someone finds their instruments and puts them out of their misery with an axe. No guitar or drum kit should be subjected to the mindless banging and twanging of a trio of talentless hacks. Ugh… terrible! Just terrible! Please set your instruments on fire and never record another album. Don’t even look at your instruments again. YOU SUCK!
