I accept that people like Dragonforce but without bringing the sexuality issue into this; I’d just like to say that their “talent” is artificially created. The solos are studio manipulated, granted every band manipulates some shit in the studio here and there but Dragonforce can’t replicate it live most of the time. Thats the number one reason I look down upon them, I mean yeah I think the songwriting and singer are both incredibly flamboyant and not to my liking but my biggest issue is that people praise their musicianship constantly but they’re one of the most fake bands out there. I’d wager Ozzy has less pitchshifting on his pitiful out-of-key wails these days than the amount of studio dickery that goes into making a Dragonforce album.

I honestly don’t hear what’s so “amazing” technically about Dragonforce. First off, in the studio it’s easy to sound like shred masters. Live I didn’t hear anything particularly tight or impressivefrom them. The whole “who’s faster than who” is so over. All these players do when they shred is sound anonymous…there’s just too much of it, and precious few whom can shred something that has musical value(defintion of musical value: any piece of music, including cadenze, that contains something memorable, while remaining intricately interactive with the music behind it. So many people listen to the studio concocted masturbation fests and “wow” over it, but ever check out the mega-lame backings? Most of the time, the backings consist of simple three to four chord rudimentaries that a first year guitar student could play.

Brother, you are fucking hilarious! But I don’t see things from your perspective. Dragonforce is one of the best bands I’ve ever heard and I don’t give a shit what anyone else thinks. My favorite genre of music is power metal: Bands like Manowar, Hammerfall, Rhapsody, Iron Savior, Battlelore and Ensiferum. And Dragonforce has that epic sound that all of these bands share, and that’s what it is: epic. Sure they don’t growl and scream so much but there are different sounds for different times. Yeah, I’ll listen to death metal but only if I’m trying to be thrown into a rage. The reason I like Dragonforce may not be the same as most other people. I think most people like them cause their guitarist is super fast. Big deal. It’s the sound that captures me, and what they sing about. No other genre of music emphasizes the thrill of battle, fighting for what you believe in, killing your enemies with power and triumphing in the end. I don’t know why no one can appreciate Power Metal. I guess everyone just wants to listen to whatever everyone else around them is listening to and just don’t give a fuck what the music actually sounds like. They’re weak and probably never had to fight for anything they loved. I’ve been listening to power metal exclusively for 3 or 4 years now. Dragonforce and the whole Power Metal genre is definitely cheesy, but I would much rather charge across a field toward thousands of enemies, screaming my frenzied warcry, bury my axe into someone’s skull and die valiantly than wallow in the vile disgustingness of this world. A world of weakness, hopelessness and evil. Power Metal has given me the strength over the years to get where I am today. I can now bench 275lbs and am jacked as hell and everyone respects me. So Teufel, hope our paths never meet because I will crush your skull with my bare hands if you ever bash Dragonforce again unless you have a good reason… and it better be a really good reason like if they ran a train on your wife/girlfriend.

why is this even on here? this is a terrible review. I doesn’t even talk about the music just how much this prick doesn’t like some band and gay people. And compared to the other scream shit on here (which isn’t music) dragonforce is actually quite good. It may not be your music but calm down dude you dont have to listen to it. this isn’t a review, this is a homophobic hate rampage titled “Review of Dragonforce’s Ultra Beatdown” The fact of the band doesn’t even matter that much anymore, this guy is just has some issues with gays
