Engorged employ a bluesy riffing style along with their rapscallious passion for death metal and call upon the powers of gut piercing, ass blasting grind, resulting in a glorious merger of said influences that won’t allow long song lengths to get the best of them!!! The extremely catchy material eclipses the rough production, just let the CD spin a few times. In addition to keeping it short, simple and cutthroat, Engorged aren’t afraid to venture outside the typical "fucking brutal" territory with Black Sabbath-ish riffs of "F.A.N.G.S." and "Carpet Shakin’", yet at times I’m reminded of the punchy chaos of Macabre!! You’ll notice that a thoroughly vibrant intensity inhabits the incredible vestibules of this innovative vocalist’s throat, irradiating a variety of violent voices that viciously invigorates the inordinate thrashing vortex vehemently throttling inside those very volatile thoughts and three thousand veins… and you’ll be amazed that all of this is handled by one person! Surprised enough, I asked if they had intended to get another vocalist going, but no one else is man enough to match Akkad! Gang vocals tear shit up on the melodic "In Support of Multinational Corporations" (my favorite) among other thrash packed moments. The band’s Death Metal Attack demo is also included for additional fun-filled mayhem. Mr. Nocera & Razorback know their metal, baby.
