I think Dave Rotten just sticks a bunch of demos he gets on the wall, blindfolds himself and spins around and around in circles and just throws the dart at the wall and signs whichever band who’s demo he pierces. That’s about the only explanation I have to signing Golgotha and putting out Elemental Changes. The album starts out with "Emotionless" whose keyboarding makes the song sound like an 80s teeny-bopper tune, the vocals/mindless yelling of Amon are annoying at best. This is followed by the equally forgettable "Dark Tears". Onwards the album goes to "The Way Of Confusion"… for some reason this reminds me of a Leonard Cohen tune. "The Wood In Me" is next, I’m sure the band has plenty of wood in themselves… I could go on to mention what every song sounds like, but it can basically all be summed up as Cyndi Lauper’s keyboardist meets some drunk homeless spanish guy who growls about someone stealing his shoe while some melodic guitarists play in the background. Anyone who calls this album metal has obviously spent too much time alone in the woods licking one too many toads and eating one too many strange mushrooms. To get an idea of just how horrible this band is, they do a cover of KISS"Love Gun", the worst part of all is it’s a bad cover of the song, the deep vocals sound like some drunk Russian sailor singing to his vodka bottle about wanting to go back to mother Russia to caress the soft stubble of his wife. I’d much rather stick my head in a homeless man’s ass than listen to something this horrid. Someone stop Dave Rotten before he signs his name on a contract again.
