"Godflesh?" "No… Gooseflesh." "Gooseflesh? Who the hell is Gooseflesh?" "Some band from Sweden." "Are they any good?" "No." I think I basically just answered any question you may have about the band right there. I guess Nuclear Blast is helping spread the word of this band on behalf of Digital Dimension Records. Why? I have no idea. Listening to bands like this is almost as much fun as taking a taser to your scrotum. Actually, given the choice, I’d give the taser serious consideration. This basically reminds me of a Crowbar-Grip Inc. hybrid, vocally as well as musically. Two low tuned notes played over and over for an entire album with a one-two drum beat. Oh yea… this is exciting. I think AC/DC have been dethroned from their number one position as "band with least amount of chords played on a single album." I actually struggle trying to find something nice to say about this band. I hate these powerchord bands, really I do. I feel much stupider after listening to this CD. I know what you’re saying "Teufel? Stupider? Is that even possible?" It’s true. Well, I’m not yet dumb enough to listen to this CD and like it, but I was dumb enough to try giving it a second chance. Big mistake. I’m sure there are a few short haired teenage kids who think Limp Bizkit is metal who may find this band to be cool or entertaining, but anyone with any type of music appreciation will avoid this band at all costs. I mean, come on… naming a band after a part of a bird? Why not just call the band Chicken Wings or Turkey Breasts? Either of those names would be better than Gooseflesh. I hope geese around the world take offense and kick this band’s ass. Fight the stupidity!
