Wow, is there anything else to say? Gorgasm plays a style of death-grind that is simply impossible to grasp upon the first listen. This four piece utilizes three vocalists (one being a former member of Decrepit, and another from Ad-Infinitum)and one crazy as fuck drummer. One of the only problems this album does face, is that two of the vocalists sound very much alike with the low-high variations, while another (and much less frequently used) uses the now-standard ultra-low frequency. The guitars are simply a blur of force and the bass, while normally quiet in the mix, comes out for one of the best leads I have heard in my time on "Horrendous Rebirth". The drumming is… alone. Derek has mastered the art of double bass kicking to the point where his hits blend together seemlessly to create utter brutality. For anyone who is looking for slower, melodic, groove death-grind, Gorgasm is the wrong fucking place to look, there is no groove in the music and much classic grinding. The production on this album is simply killer and, like Fleshgrind, I am unsure about label support for Gorgasm (I know they have 9-12 songs in the works) because they were also on the now defunct Pulverizer Records.
