Insect Warfare “World Extermination”

Insect Warfare
World Extermination

Genre:GrindcoreFormat:CDTracks:20
Label:625 ThrashYear:2007

Crashing into your skull like a drunken retard flailing his limbs about while whirl winding his arms in a pit, Texas-based grinders Insect Warfare’s debut, and only, full length offering World Extermination is a relentlessly vicious beating from the first riff to the final drum beat. With twenty tracks clocking in at twenty-two and a half minutes, World Extermination is grindcore done right: fast, furious and violent.

Like fellow Texans Kill The Client, Insect Warfare are huge fans of early Napalm Death and it shows in their music. Each track is filled with simple but violent drum beats, choppy riffs and the shrieks, snarls and growls of a meth fueled beast. Insect Warfare have no time for technical riffing, song writing or complex drumming. These guys are far too busy beating your head in with golf clubs like a gang of blood-crazed gorillas, snapping off your limbs and relentlessly pummeling your corpse, without the unpleasant after taste of semen and feces flinging.

Simply put, Insect Warfare are pure, raw, primitive rage. Each of World Extermination’s 20 track is a relentless series of barks, chugging riffs and blast beats. Very rarely do they play anything that differs from the formula, and when they do it’s only momentary before they return to give you a savage beating.

There’s nothing unique about Insect Warfare and their material is completely mindless, but that’s what makes the release so compelling. As much as I want to turn away, the savage intensity the band displays leaves me flailing my limbs and screaming while storming around the house, causing my cat to pause from licking his groin long enough to give me a disgusted look before returning to gnaw on his cock fur. Insect Warfare showed up to the party, they kicked the shit out of everyone and walked right back out the door leaving a pile of battered and beaten bodies in their wake. It’s too bad these guys split up, but at least they fucking destroyed everything while they were here. World Extermination isn’t a genre redefining grindcore release, but it’s savage intensity makes it a worthwhile purchase and a rewarding, albeit painful, listen. Recommended!

The orgasm-inducing awesomeness of this album and all their split material makes me really sad they broke up. This is the most addictive stuff I’ve ever heard.

I want to hear the stuff on their split with Agoraphobic Nosebleed… I just don’t want to listen to Agoraphobic Nosebleed to do it.

IW were gonna do a split on Relapse with Regurgitate instead, now they’ve chosen to do it with ANb instead!? …Maybe they split up before its release to avoid having to explain such a stupid decision.

Great album but not that great live. I saw them a few times and they were kinda underwhelming

Awesome band! If you like this, pick up their split w/FID from Japan.

I jsut got the Earache version of this, very very good stuff, as good as the KTC and Captain Cleanoff releases in terms of grindcore

I thought the Earache version wasn’t coming out until March. Anyway, is the Earache release any different from the 625/RSR original?
