Compared to what else is out there, what would you rate as classic albums in the sense of today? What is the “Master of Puppets” of 2008? Ok this whole “Metallica sucks” thing has really gotten old. The bandwagon bashing shit is for the mindless “sheep” that have to be like everybody else and talk shit to act cool. I love this album, not because I’m a Metallica drone but it is alot better then some of the same old cookie monster, screamo, emo carbon copy band that seems ooze out off every damn radio station these days. I haven’t heard an original album in years. At least even though Metallica’s albums went on to sound differently after each recording but they provided their own sound, relative to the time period in which each album was produced. I for one am glad They switched up their sound so much. I’ve gotten so bored with Slayer, Megadeth and many other great metal bands making the same album over and over.

i just finished listining to dm twice,either ya love metallica or hate e,m,i think this album is good!im the same age as these guys,and i,ll admit i was let down with st. anger and garbage sounding snare drum,but i think some of these songs are gonna be fuckin awesome live!suicide and redemption,judas kiss,cyanide i think will be great live songs,i agree some do get a bit long,but as a lifetime metallica fan,this album is refreshing for me,great guitar licks,hammetts solo,s are awesome,overall its better than i expected.fuck all you haters,go listin to your monster sounding doom records,metallica are 1 of the godz of metal!

This review was fuckin excellent although I didn’t agree with all of it. Black was not as horrible as this fucker claims. We all know that bands when out of their prime are a shadow of their former selves. It sounded like this guy was personally shit on from one of the band members or he got sued for “illegally stealing” their music. Wha Wha Wha. What a bitch!

I first run into this site while trying to gather opinions to compare with my impressions of a record I myself was reviewing. I was disgusted with the review of that record and I wrote a lenghtly commentary in that regards. I returned this time just to give this reviewer the benefit of the doubt, now with the oportunity to review a better album and group that is one of a kind. Was I wrong?!! What a waste of everybody’s time.
