Morgue Supplier “Sociopath”

Morgue Supplier
Sociopath

Genre:Brutal Death GrindFormat:CDTracks:13
Label:Self ReleasedYear:2004

Death-grind fans have too many options lately. There are so many bands rushing out release after release that it gets easy to ignore stuff. Without the help of a big company, a release like Sociopath can get buried in the glut of releases. I heard next to nothing about the release of this middle but I doubt it will remain buried long because like that proverbial stack of dead-babies – this is the live one that will eat its way out of the pile. Pissed off and talented define the immediate impressions but repeat listens reward the attentive listener. At no point does skill come before aggression as rare tempo drops are kept just as heavy and blistering as the abundant blasts. You may notice some of the photos in the detailed booklet from the most recent Putrescence release and in terms of pure aggression the cover is not all these bands share but where Putrescence is think and chundering, Morgue Supplier is more in the hyper-blasting death-grind style. Don’t expect wanky leads or boring slam-riffs – this is chaotic death-grind with lots of varied riffs all delivered in a very raw and assaulting style. Comparisons to Inhume are possible because there are two powerful vocalists throughout most of the tracks. Lyrics written in the first person view are included and will provide you with interesting things to say to the person who’s lunch money you should steal to buy the next Morgue Supplier release that is slated to follow Sociopath. While the sheer force of Morgue Supplier may be their most immediately appealing asset, it’s the tunes and their arrangements that make me highly recommend this release. While most gore bands have no justification releasing more than a 7" at a time, Sociopath stays interesting throughout and is a real grower. The Midwest needs more great death-grind like this. Fans of Squash Bowels, Putrescence and Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition go get this.
