The Code is Red was pretty bad except the last song, didn’t hear Smear Campaign but hopefully both don’t have the new Nasum influence on it.

Yeah, you know, easy chords, simple drums over catchy, almost, sing-along choruses…. Hey, the entire album isn’t filled with it, but it’s definitely there.

The album is decent, but no where near some of the sick stuff they put out this past decade. No way I’d put this up there with Enemy…, Order of the Leetch or Smear Campaign.

i may be in the minority, but i find the newer-era Napalm to be WAY more interesting than the older. ill take this album over scum any day

I found this review a bit lacking, but I definitely agree with it. I’ve never been much into N.D., but this album is killer. Definitely one of my favs for 2009.

This album is my favorite modern Napalm. Of course it can’t compete with Utopia Banished or FETO because of the time and place those classic albums were recorded which give them an impact you just can’t recreate. But I will say that if the band in any of its classic incarnations was transplanted into today’s recording studios and told to make an album in 2009, it would not come anywhere near this in terms of tightness and intensity. Napalm is in absolute top form here.

another great napalm album,
“A No-Sided Argument” is really addictive.
“Diktat” and “De-evolution Ad Nauseum” are great tracks.
whole album kills! they keep getting it right!

Agreed, both of those discs are awesome. The remix/remastered version of Scum is a worthwhile purchase too same with Mentally Murdered EP. My favorite is still Fear, Emptiness, Despair. It’s more straight forward death metal, but still killer.

Go early…Harmony Corruption and Death By Manipulation are two of the most important albums I got as a wet behind the ears kid back in the late 80s. They still hold their weight quite well.

this is a great album, back to basics grindcore.
on the other hand the review sucks!!! napalm deaths new relaese deserves better.
