Ever wanted to know what it feels like sitting in a rocket, being launched into space? Wrap some headphones around your ears, put a goldfish bowl, preferably empty, on your head, get a fat man to sit on your chest, plug in some Negligent Collateral Collapse, crank it to 10, close your eyes and press play. The sonic boom that is Negligent Collateral Collapse will crush your skull like a vice with the rhythmic violent drum bashing, ax grinding and Cookie Monster farting-out-his-mouth vocals. You read that right, farting out his motherfucking mouth! The vocals of Negligent Collateral Collapse are un-fucking-real, I can’t tell if they’re inhales, exhales or simply bowel movements, but they are by far among the most extreme in all of metal and gore. Antimo, Matti Way and Reuben Rosas sound like T.A.T.U. by comparison. Musically, Negligent Collateral Collapse are very simplistic, just a lot of thick heavy grind grooves fit for pitting, with simple drum beats that even an 8-year old could play. Generally the music is pretty slow-paced, with emphasis simply put on being as heavy as possible. I know a lot of people will be reading this saying "That sounds pretty boring." Well, you’re pretty ugly, so just cram it, fatty, and listen, it’s not like you’re going to find any friends with your mongoloid mush. Anyway, as I was saying, the one thing Negligent Collateral Collapse do expertly is not sticking to a single pattern, they, unlike most goregrind bands, actually make an effort to make sure each song doesn’t sound the same. They may not write technical music that will make your head implode trying to grasp the creativity involved, but they do entertain, and they do mix things up. In other words, they play goregrind the way it’s meant to be played. Well… in their mind it’s NASA grind because they sing about spaceships and physics, but it’s still played in the goregrind style. Those crazy Czechs, always trying to innovate, even in their genre-labeling. All I can say is, if you picked up their last album, Reprocess Database Segment Extender, and were disappointed by the more polished sound, rejoice, for Paranormal Nanodivision brings the band back to the style that made them infamous. But wait, there’s more! Included on the disc are mp3s from the band’s splits, EPs, promos and singles, as well as a couple of movie clips, which I still haven’t been able to watch because I can’t seem to find the right Codec, but when I do, you can rest assured I’ll be jacking off like a madman possessed while trying to fart out my mouth in an attempt to emulate the vocals.
