One of the most obscene and oldest black metal bands from the United States, Profanatica is a very influential and blasphemous band whose influence has spread wide in the black/death metal underground. This collection compiles all of the band’s studio recordings, including rare and unreleased tracks. The blasphemy and sickness which Profanatica give off haven’t been matched as of yet, in my opinion. In addition to giving us the mighty Profanatica, founder Paul Ledney has also spawned Incantation, Havohej and Necroscope Productions.

The drumming on every track is excellent. The vocals seethe with anger, contempt, mockery and hate, being some of the best black metal vocals of all time. The riffing is in Profanatica’s unique and memorable style, and most Incantation riffing seems to have varying degrees of Profanatica’s sound in it.

I wish that the packaging was more informative, as it offers no liner notes or lyrics or anything but the track list and origin, and pictures from various Profanatica releases. That is my only complaint with this release. Everyone will walk away screaming "I VOMIT ON GOD’S CHILD" and "SODOMY IS BROUGHT UPON THE NUN’S ROTTING ASSHOLE" after listening to this brutal disc. Early 90’s black metal at its very best!!! This Collection CD is limited to 1000 copies. A big HAIL to War Hammer Records for releasing this!
