With the bigger names in gore/porngrind (ie. Cock And Ball Torture and Last Days Of Humanity) failing to impress with their past few releases, it’s good to know there are more than enough sick fucks around to pick up the slack. Holland’s Rompeprop play lo-fi, down tuned, fast and furious goregrind in the vein of Gut, Dead, early Cock And Ball Torture and Utopie. This is just a straight forward pitch shift gurgle and chugathon from beginning to end. There are no wanky solos. There are no melodies. This is just an axe to the neck. The best way to describe this would be to enter a public washroom full over 50 people overcome with uncontrollable food poisoning, spewing forth from every orifice as they clutch the bowl with all of their might. Thankfully the CD doesn’t smell like that, it just smells like plastic. Tastes like plastic too. I’m pretty sure poo doesn’t taste like plastic, well, unless you just finished eating a CD, but I think the shards would probably do some serious damage on the way out. Either way, I wouldn’t recommend eating a CD, or getting food poisoning, or entering a public washroom filled with 50 people shitting and puking, but I would recommend picking up Hellcock’s Pornflakes if you’re into seriously warped mid-tempo groovy goregrind with gurgly pitch shifted vocals, and hey, if the cover art makes you uncomfortable, it’s probably because you secretly love the cock.
