Seeds of Sorrow
Promo 2007

Genre:Death MetalFormat:CDTracks:4
Label:DemoYear:2007

If you’ve actually taken the time to read this review, you’re probably thinking along the same lines as myself: Who are Seeds of Sorrow? Is this a band that is worth my precious time? Well, here’s the answer to the first question:  The band has been together since the early nineties, have played over one hundred shows and have released four albums, one of which was released by Nuclear Blast.  However, here’s the answer to question number two: No.

This sucks, plain and simple.  The production quality is downright lousy. It sounds like this demo was recorded with a Fisher Price microphone in grandma’s basement.  Honestly, the production wouldn’t be too bothersome if the music itself was actually worthwhile…but it isn’t.  Oh goody! More mediocre melodic death metal with crappy pseudo tough guy vocals that goes absolutely nowhere! Just what metal needs! Where do I sign up????  It’s not surprising in the slightest that Seeds of Sorrow have gotten nowhere over fifteen years.

In closing, I’m heading back to the question posed at the beginning of this review: Who are Seeds of Sorrow? Well, who cares.  Honestly, I would like to forget they even exist and it will be easy to do so since there is not a memorable bit of music to be offered here.  NEXT!

This Album Is...
Mediocre
Very "Meh!" Not Worth The Money!
