Suffocation
Despise The Sun

Genre:Technical Brutal Death MetalFormat:mCDTracks:5
Label:Vulture RecordsYear:1998

Released on their manager’s newly established record label Vulture Records, Despise The Sun combines the sheer brutality of Human Waste and Effigy Of The Forgotten with the technicality and crystal clear sound of their last Roadrunner offering Pierced From Within. The only negative for the album is that it is ONLY an EP containing a mere five tracks, one of which is a re-recording of "Catatonia", originally released on their debut album Human Waste. I think they should have re-recorded the track Human Waste which is, in my opinion, the most brutal Suffocation song ever recorded. Fans of pure brutal death metal will go into convulsions from headbanging to this album, although it’s only February, I’m proclaiming Despise The Sun as the Death Metal album of the year!
