Super Fun Happy Slide is the aural equivalent of an unlubed sphincter examination from a team of circus clowns with long fingernails." Never has a band bio been more descriptive, informative or accurate. Super Fun Happy Slide, the four man goregrind project consisting of Teufel’s Tomb forum regulars are back with another 7 songs of fun, simple, grinding gore.

The material on this effort is extremely short, clocking in at less than 10 minutes for the full effort, but the music contained within is solid old school grindcore with equal bits Napalm Death, Last Days Of Humanity, Gut and Captain Cleanoff ground up in a blender and poured into a compact disc-shaped mold.

The riffing alternates between blistering grindcore and mid-paced chugging with equal parts shrieked grindcore vocals and pitch shifted gore gurgles. The grindcore-heavy moments are reminiscent to those found on Napalm Death’s Scum and From Enslavement To Obliteration and Captain Cleanoff’s self-titled debut and the gore moments are pure Last Days Of Humanity and Gut.

How entertaining is Super Fun Happy Slide? It’s better than running back and forth through customs at the airport claiming you’re smuggling drugs so you can be repeatedly tenderized in your most uncomfortable of cavities by a disgruntled Samoan with a fist the size of a football. It’s also good enough to get the band signed to Bizarre Leprous Productions, best known for releasing material by Impetigo, Utopie, Pigsty, Ahumado Granujo and Rompeprop. If you’re a fan of that style of band you’ll be happier than a kid at a theme park when their debut full length is released later this year, if you’re not than you’ll probably be more like one of the kids stuck in Jurassic Park screaming your lungs out and shitting your pants while running in the opposite direction.
