!T.O.O.H.! is yet another mind-baffling crazy grind act out of the Czech Republic. The disjointed name is an acronym for The Obliteration Of Humanity and the music is equally as disjointed. Imagine you cloned an army of the Marquis de Sade, threw those pompous Victorian formal wigs on them, mounted the army of de Sade clones upon legions of pygmy ponies, began a march unto Eastern Europe with a jazz band tied and dragged at the back of said army, and had a morbidly obese 400 pound 12 year-old suspended by helium balloons trailing behind the pony-dragged jazz band and throwing fish at them. Now give at least two of the de Sade clones guitars and drums. Imagine that sound. Bingo.
This shit is fucking insane. Take some technical, catchy Czech grind, combine it with near-blackened high pitch vocals and screams, add some additional progressive elements, then throw in some of the craziest jazz out there and this is what Pod Vladou Bice sounds like. You think Nasum has some nice melody to break up the grinding chaos? !T.O.O.H.! has it in spades! Just take a gander at "Aura & Ziata" and "Homokaz Aneb Blativa Je Massa": there is some crazy grind merged with possibly the catchiest riffs I’ve ever heard in metal. Then there is the final track "Ja Je Proto Proti" which has some of the quirkiest jazz metal around.
!T.O.O.H.! must be snorting some kind of crack. All I know is: I want it. I want it now, and I’ll kill to get it. God damn, there’s got to be something in the Czech water supply that causes them to all go buck wild insane. Written By: Necro-tron

November 15th, 2008 at 12:55 pm That band is spastic as hell! As are all the people I’ve met from there.. I sure hope non-Czechs can handle that kind of crack, because I want some too.
