Waking the Cadaver are a New Jersey based "slamming gore grove" act, which is essentially one part Dying Fetus worship, one part metalcore worship and constipated inhaled hiccups. I’ve heard some retarded brutal death metal before, but brutal deathcore is even worse than I could have imagined. First of all, these vocals fucking suck. It sounds like Don Campan heard some brutal death metal vocalists use inhaled vocals and decided he’d try to do it, only instead of it coming out sick and evil like the guys in Devourment, Disgorge and Cephalotripsy it sounds more like he’s trying to inhale gargle on his boyfriend’s dick with a microphone shoved in his face.

The drumming is so simplistic I know 3 year olds with Fisher Price drum kits who could come up with better blasts. In fact, a 3 year old hitting a Fisher Price drum kit would be a huge improvement.

The riffs… fuck, what riffs? This shit is even more simplistic than Six Feet Under, I have farts with better melody than this shit.

Perverse Recollections of a Necromangler is 26:30 of the most braincell killing, simplistic and just straight up annoying shit I’ve heard in a while. The vocals suck. The guitars suck. The drums suck. Even the cover art sucks. This album sounds like a group of 12 year olds trying to cover a Dying Fetus album and failing horribly.

Waking the Cadaver are definitely a sick band. Not sick as in brutal and awesome, but sick like a gay AIDS patient farting cum and blood on his death bed. I knew Necroharmonic sucked, but to release this piece of shit album I think they’ve officially become the worst label in North America.
