If I ever go on a killing spree, it’s going to be because of Doing It For The Kids. As I sit here listening to this slab of sickening rapehategore, I’m filled with thoughts of savagely driving a spike through someone’s head, then jacking off into the gaping wound. Doing It For The Kids is the sophomore release by Portland-based serial sociopaths Whore, featuring the vocal stylings of Rob Fornicator of Fornicator fame, guitar surgeon Franko America (aka Maniac Neil of Lord Gore/Frightmare) and the drumming assault of $25 (aka Shad Justice of Engorged). The band’s debut, 2004’s Unfinished Business, was a solid slab of sickness, but still paled in comparison to the insane gruesomeness of Fornicator’s self-titled release. Doing It For The Kids surpasses them both, in terms of sheer sickness, heaviness, and all around badassness. Whore makes Disgorge (mex), Last Days Of Humanity, Cock And Ball Torture and GUT sound like Destiny’s Child by comparison. Every track is just dripping with hate, packed with catchy hooks, pummeling beats and sickening burp gurgles. This is one of the absolute heaviest albums ever recorded, the production is so thick and chunky the only way to cut through it is with a chainsaw. The music is slow-mid paced thick crushing death metal with plenty of catchy riffs and hooks that’ll leave your head banging long after they pierce your sternum. I’m not sure if you’re man enough to handle this CD, but should you decide to buy it, don’t be surprised if you find yourself slamming a hammer into someone’s skull minutes later. Yes, you too can be an insane necrobutcher, and Whore is here to teach you how. Sickest. Album. Of 2005!
