Zemial, who released the legendary 7" Sleeping Under Tartarus in the early 90’s come back with new material and bonus tracks, some of which are the legendary aforementioned 7" and a Bathory cover. Zemial’s sound is that of the good days of black metal, with a Burzum and Bathory influence up front. The drumming is tight and solid, riffing is just great in the traditional black metal vein, and vocals are shrieky and Bathory-ish. Production is raw and great.

All of the tracks are very good black metal, with the "Aphophis" track being an Egyptian-styled instrumental which is very pleasing. Any fanatic of early 90’s black metal will throb with delight when listening to this album. Zemial gets some of my highest praises, and this CD is a favorite in my collection for sure.
